Nyons Black Olives - Glass Jar

The very best olives from Provence! 

Nyons olives are unique to the Southern part of the Drôme. Nyons is a charming town that gave its name to the Tanche olives grown in that region. They are distinguised by their large pits, sweet meaty flavors and lack of bitterness. Nyons olives are special enough to have earned their own AOC or Appelation d'Origine contrôlée like French wines. Their skin is finely wrinkled as they are harvested in December have shriveled with the cold.

Eat them straight out of the jar, my first choice as I grew up in Provence eating exclusively Nyons olives. But you could use them to make your own delicious and fruity tapenade.
