Bonjour!

Due to Covid19 we do not have a date yet for our next French Fair event. We will update you as soon as we feel it is safe to organize an event.

The 14th French Fair took place on Saturday, November 16th, 2019.

On Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, the French Fair awaits you with over 60 vendors, a food court and much more to please the whole family.

Come have fun and jump start your Holiday shopping with French gifts!

The event will be held in Palo Alto at the Lucie Stern Community Center (1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA 94301).

The Fair was conceived in 2008 by Elisabeth and Catherine, both French expatriates, who wanted their adopted community to learn more about France -- its history, culture and products. They approached local French cultural associations, universities/colleges/high schools, French language departments, French artists, culinary artisans, French services and businesses. All responded enthusiastically: The French Fair was born!

We are pleased with the development and growth of the Fair. Our first event featured only native French artisans and was an immediate success. Due to an overwhelming demand, we added a range of authentic French culinary traditions. Our patrons keep coming back to enjoy French crepes, delicatessen, cheeses and tempting pastries. To create a French atmosphere, adding classic French music and songs was a must. We were amazed and pleased to see how much the public responded, joining in the fun by singing along with the traditional tunes. We then added a fashion show, a vintage Citroen car exhibition and various workshops.

Our American visitors are eager to know more about French culture.

In 2015, the 10th French Fair has become the largest event devoted to French culture, food, fashion & businesses in the Bay area. We continue to grow and keep adding new activities to make our event more attractive. For the 10th anniversary event, we added afternoon conferences & an evening of dancing & live music.

Part of the proceeds of the French Fair goes to a local non-profit “Mentor Tutor Connection” that provides mentors and tutors for children.
